Manbhar Kendra

MJAS runs two Manbhar kendra’s – Community Based Safe and Accessible Spaces for Empowerment of Adolescent Girls and Women against Violence. Leveraging the existing state redressal system, this program is based on two approaches – Preventive and survivor centric. It aims to create a supportive environment for adolescent girls and women prone to or affected by gender-based violence (GBV). By addressing GBV at personal, family, and community levels, the initiative fosters resilience and leadership among participants while enhancing community capacity to combat such violence. Through a holistic approach that combines technology aided prevention campaigns, crisis support, capacity building, and engagement with duty bearers, the program seeks to empower adolescent girls as advocates for change within their communities, promoting a sustainable shift towards gender equality and safety.
