MJAS is dedicated to empowering girls and women through mobilization, education, and capacity building so that young women and girls can build a supportive-safe space for their overall well being and be able to use their citizenship rights to avail services and opportunities.
MJAS also works on cultivating Young Women’s Leadership Development through a specialized focus on digital learning, sports (football) which helps in creating a space for adolescent young girls from rural and semi-urban areas to come together, and build a network that will foster social transformation.
Technology plays a vital role in empowering girls and young women. MJAS has established a tech centre where they can access devices to enhance their knowledge, get systematic training through- basic, advanced and specialized courses. Apart from knowledge and essential skills, the girls have also started finding ways to combat violence and have started speaking against violence. It has also enabled them to create a peer group for friendship and networking which then acts as a safe space for sharing their confrontations, aspirations and challenges.
