Future Vision

MJAS has crafted a dynamic five-year strategic plan 2030 that embodies a forward-thinking vision, developed through a participatory process that amplifies the voices and priorities of the community. This inclusive approach incorporates the lived experiences of grassroots champions, project teams, academicians, researchers, and like-minded organizations. The future program envisions a transformative environment where adolescent girls and young women are empowered as leaders within their communities, driving social change and advancing equity.

Foundational principles of this future vision
  1. Youth Leadership: The program emphasizes cultivating young women as influential decision-makers, equipping them with the skills and confidence necessary for raising voices.
  2. Inclusivity and Equity: MJAS is committed to fostering an inclusive society where marginalized voices are amplified, ensuring equal access to opportunities and leadership.
  3. Bridging Generations Building movements: Continue to form women’s collective to realise and sustain Young Women’s aspirations by getting support and solidarity between inter-generations.
  4. Sustainable Community Development: The organization aims to empower young women to lead initiatives that prioritize positive life choices, environmental sustainability, and social justice.
  5. Collaborative Ecosystem: MJAS seeks to build a robust network involving key stakeholders—CSOs,NGOs, community organisations, government agencies and public services, —to enhance resource sharing and strategic engagement by changing mindsets, and oppressive social practices.
  6. Behavior Change Communication: The program utilizes innovative communication strategies to shift societal norms towards gender equality, fostering a culture that supports young women’s leadership.

MJAS envisions a future where violence against women and girls is eradicated while fostering women’s economic self-reliance through targeted strategies aimed at creating sustainable livelihoods. The organization aims to achieve this through a comprehensive strategy that addresses root causes while empowering survivors.

  • Enhanced Collaboration: MJAS intends to benefit from deeper collaboration at state, national and global levels. By sharing resources and best practices, it aims to amplify its impact on women’s empowerment initiatives.
  • Focus on Intersectionality: Continue to emphasize intersectionality in its programs by addressing how various factors—such as race, class, gender, disability status—affect women’s experiences of inequality.
Specific Initiatives to Support Young Leaders

Leadership Academy: Establishing organizational-level academies dedicated to support LDRC and leadership clubs. Designing Trannings, curriculum – modules, conducting researches, documentation, learning events, seminars, and MEAL system.

Leadership Development Resource Centres (LDRC) at the cluster level will serve as mentorship platforms for networking, collaboration, and resource sharing among young leaders. Implementing fellowship programs that place village-level fellows in communities will empower them to lead local initiatives and mobilize their peers effectively.

Leadership Clubs: Creating leadership clubs at the village level – two fellows at each village will serve as peer leader for the adolescent young girls and boys, form collectives, run small projects of their interest.
