The Cities for You(th) project, implemented by MJAS in Ajmer district in 2023, aims to strengthen youth-led active citizenship models using data and technology for evidence generation and perception mapping. Part of the ‘Fit4Future’ programme supported by Fondation Botnar and Safetipin, it focuses on building leadership among young women (18-25 years old) from marginalized communities, empowering them with skills in technology and data collection to become influencers for gender mobility, inclusion, safety, and well-being in their cities.
Focus Areas:
1. Youth Engagement (Active Citizenship):
YARA Leadership Program for capacity building

Developing technology tools with youth participation
Human-centered design workshops to understand youth needs and aspirations.
3. Government Consultation (Stakeholder Engagement):
Building evidence-based agenda for youth needs in cities
Data collection through street mapping, safety audits, and community surveys

30 young girl fellows participated in a 6-month program
Mobilized 100+ youth across Ajmer city.
